UMMEED invites youth of Shimla and Dehradun to participate in the YouthAloud Programme!

YouthAloud program is an initiative to engage and empower the youth of India to inspire positive changes in the society through creative, dynamic and purpose-driven multimedia production. In YouthAloud program, young persons in 14 to 28 age group create multimedia products like videos, presentations, posters, animations, photo essays, blogs etc. over the critical issues of social, environmental, cultural or developmental significance. The key objective of the YouthAloud program is to chanelize the youth's power of expression towards finding and sharing the solutions to many a great problems faced by the world. Know more...

Volunteer with UMMEED >>

Launch of UMMEED's Newsletter on Eco-friendly & Equitable Development (NEED).
UMMEED is going to launch the inaugural issue of the 'Newsletter on Eco-friendly & Equitable Development (NEED)' on 31st of March, 2012. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit original articles on a range of environmental, cultural, social, economic on developmental issues. Selected entries will be featured in the first issue of NEED. Please email your article at mail@ummeed.net or post the article at- UMMEED, Post Box No. 10, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh (INDIA). The last date of receiving articles for NEED is 15th of March, 2012.

 At UMMEED, we recognize the value of volunteering as we trust in the power of noble intentions that volunteers have. The selfless services of volunteers have helped us to carry out and accomplish a number of activities. While we thank the volunteers who have worked with us under the Karma Voluntary Services Program of UMMEED, we, at the same time, encourage more volunteers from different parts of the world to get involved in some very promising and contentment-oriented programmes of UMMEED.

If you want to volunteer with UMMEED, there are a number of ways which you can help this nascent organization in-
1- Help us in raising the much-need funds for our innovative and change-oriented programmes.
2- Volunteer as a Trainer, Facilitator or Resource Person in our ongoing programmes.
3- Help us design and develop a new, dynamic, attractive and user-friendly website for UMMEED.
4- Assist us organize and manage different events, campaign and workshops.
5- Help us mobilize resources, equipments and materials that could be of immense use in our programmes (like Computers, Projectors, etc.)
6- Volunteer as a Graphic Designer, Photographer, Content Developer or Editor and help us in the development of Information, Education and Communication material for our programmes.
7- Help us expand our outreach and create a larger network through social networking and other online tools.
